Ansett Mark II will start flights to Brisbane and Perth from Monday 8 October with a range of "Kick Start" special fares from $99 one-way on sale from tomorrow. The airline also confirmed its first 10,000 ticket sales reached at midday today.

Special "Kick Start" fares to Brisbane and Perth are on sale from 12.00 noon Tuesday 2 October, 2001 via Ansett Reservations freecall number 131300 or via Ansett's web site www.ansett.com.au. *

Flight schedules are as follows: Brisbane-Sydney-Brisbane - 14 flights daily; Melbourne-Perth-Melbourne - 4 flights daily; Sydney-Perth-Sydney - 4 flights daily.

"Kick Start" fares on sale until 14 October only (for travel from 8-31 October) are priced:

Brisbane -Sydney $99 one-way
Brisbane-Melbourne (via Sydney) $264 return
Brisbane-Perth (via Sydney) $440 return

Melbourne-Brisbane (via Sydney) $264 return
Melbourne-Perth $396 return

Sydney-Brisbane $99 one-way
Sydney-Perth $407 return

Perth-Sydney $407 return
Perth-Brisbane (via Sydney) $440 return
Perth-Melbourne $396 return

Ansett resumed flights between Sydney and Melbourne last Saturday (up to 32 flights daily) with $99 "Kick Start" fares on sale until Sunday 7 October.

A range of competitive fares will continue to be available after 8 October.
